These three towering peaks will forever hold a special place in my heart. Watching the clouds crash into the mountainside like the tide rolling in on the shore was a spectacular sight in all directions, but especially on the backside of Tre Cime di Lavaredo. Cime Piccola, Cime Grande and Cime Ovest are some of the most well known sights the Alps has to offer. After a long day hike around the mountain, Rifugio Auronzo provides refuge and hot food for adventurers of all calibers as it sits firmly in the shadow of this giant.
